It's terrible that these nice people are TERRORISED in this way. I've actually met Kay (in fact her story appears in my book 'Climate Change and Global Warming') Kay and her husband have lived in High Tralorg for a quarter of a century, it is situated on hills near Girvan (in Scotland), and they wanted a peaceful retreat for retiring, which is why the bought this house in the first place. Because of the way there house is situated they get more noise than some areas closer to turbines. The nearest turbine is well short of the 2km recommended zone (actually less than 800 metres), however in Scotland it is only advisory, not compulsory, so wind turbines can be built quite close to individual properties.
It is time that a compulsory minimum distance between a house and its nearest wind turbine is put in place, and I feel that it should be nearer 5 km than 2.

It's so sad to see anyone driven from their homes, but especially retired people who thought they could live out the rest of their lives in peace and quiet.
This entire thing is so criminally wrong, but no one will ever be held accountable for it.
